MELINDA
A. RODRIGUEZ, PT, DPT, MSCS

ACCESS QUALITY THERAPY SERVICES, INC.
Melinda
Rodriguez, PT, DPT, MSCS is
the CEO and one of the founders of Access Quality Therapy
Services (AQTS), a specialized home health and outpatient
rehabilitation agency focused on the treatment of neurological
and orthopedic conditions based in San Antonio, Texas.
Melinda is an adjunct professor at the University of
Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, School of
Allied Health Sciences, Dept. of Physical Therapy. She
is a graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program
from Boston University, 2006. She is a 1990 graduate
of the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines,
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Melinda has
practiced as a Physical Therapist in numerous settings
but is recognized as an expert in the delivery of therapy
services in the home health arena. She is a Lee Silverman
Voice Treatment- Big certified and a multiple sclerosis
certified specialist. In 2001, she developed the Parkinson’s
Outreach Program, a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation
program for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease,
Essential Tremors, Stroke and other complex neurological
disorders. This program is endorsed by the Alamo Area
Parkinson’s Support Group, a chapter of the American
Parkinson’s Disease Association, and affiliated
with Our Lady of the Lake University Harry Jersig Communication
Disorders Clinic. Under her guidance, AQTS has expanded
its services to include a Lee Silverman Voice Treatment
Program, Falls Prevention and Balance Clinics, After
Care Exercise Program, and an Alternative Exercise Program.
Melinda Rodriguez serves on the board of directors of
several-non profit groups such as the Alamo Area Parkinson’s
Support Group, APDA South Texas Chapter and is a professional
advisory member of numerous organizations. She is part
of the new member committee of Oak Hills Country Club,
San Antonio, TX. Melinda also serves as a board member
and the chair for the membership committee of the Alamo
Asian American Chamber of Commerce. She is an advisory
board member of the Triple H Equitherapy Center, Pipecreek,
Texas.
She
is being inducted in the San Antonio Women’s Hall
of Fame, Business and Finance Category, March, 2008. In
2005, Melinda was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry
to serve on the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
for a four-year term to be completed in 2009. Also
in 2005, Melinda was selected as one of San Antonio’s
top entrepreneurs under 40 by the San Antonio business
community and was awarded the “Rising Star Award:
40 Under 40” for 2005. In 2006, she was one of the
3 awardees of the Latina Business Excellence Award sponsored
by UTSA, Compass Bank, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce and Telemundo. She is a co-founder of The Well
Good Institute, a non-profit organization whose mission
is to incorporate alternative exercise programs with modern
medical practice in promoting health and wellness in the
community. In August, 2005, her home health agency, Access
Quality Therapy Services was ranked the 7th largest
San Antonio home health agency by the San Antonio Business
Journal. AQTS was awarded the 2006 Community Service
Award, business category by the Alamo Asian American Chamber
of Commerce at their 3rd annual awards banquet.
Her
latest venture is Alta Vista Consulting, a healthcare consulting
company with Medtronic Neurological Company and Warm Springs
Rehabilitation System. Melinda is also working closely
with neurologists in San Antonio and surrounding areas
in the management of patients with Deep Brain Stimulation
therapy.
Melinda
lives in San Antonio with her husband and three children
and enjoys family activities, religious devotions, Tai
Chi, yoga, traveling and the theater.

RODRIGUEZ

Robert
Rodriguez is
the President and Chief Financial Officer of Access Quality
Therapy Services, Inc., a medical service company he
co-founded. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University
with a B.S. in Education and a veteran of the U.S. Army. A
true entrepreneur, Robert has extensive experience in
the areas of operations, business development, and strategic
planning.
A
strong believer in community involvement, Robert is an active
board member of several non-profit groups and serves as an
advisory member on a number of organizations. Currently,
Robert serves in the following organizations:
